ComplianceDashboard is a benefits-compliance platform for the people responsible for ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act. It takes an overwhelming list of obligations and turns it into a guided dashboard of tasks, notifications, and documents, built so advisers and brokers can run it for all of their employer clients under their own brand. We built and supported it from 2012 through 2023.
Benefits compliance is a moving target. The people responsible for it, HR teams and the advisers and brokers who serve them, have to stay on top of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act all at once, and missing a single obligation carries real risk.
The client wanted to take that overwhelming list and turn it into a guided system: a dashboard that tells each employer exactly what it owes and when, keeps the documents in one place, and lets an adviser run the whole thing for a book of clients under their own brand.
Counterpart takes the time to find out what we're trying to achieve and works with us to find unique and cost effective ways to get there.
Dan Bond · Principal, ComplianceDashboardThe platform starts with a Demographics Questionnaire and builds each employer a dashboard from the answers, then keeps them on track with notifications, documents, and reports.
A Demographics Questionnaire generates a dashboard tailored to each employer, so it shows only the obligations that actually apply.
Email notifications keep each employer ahead of what's due, at a frequency the user sets for themselves.
A document manager that keeps every compliance record in one place, tied to the tasks it belongs to.
A resource library so the guidance a team needs to act on a requirement sits right next to the requirement.
Reporting and notes across an employer's activity, so progress is visible and nothing gets lost between people.
Adviser and broker management with white-labeling, so a firm runs the platform for all of its employer clients under its own brand.
Almost everything we ship runs on the same modern Microsoft stack: proven, supported, and easy to hire for years from now. Cutting edge but never bleeding edge.
This one is a deliberate exception to our usual Microsoft stack. ComplianceDashboard was built on WordPress with Formidable Forms, on PHP and MySQL, because that fit the product and how the client wanted to run and own it.
Compliance obligations don't sit still, and the software that tracks them can't either. We built ComplianceDashboard to take the guesswork out of benefits compliance, and we kept it current with the rules for over a decade. In 2023 we handed it off cleanly, after eleven years of building and supporting it.
Tell us the challenge in plain language. We scope the work on complexity, commit to the figure in the room, and stay for the years after launch.
