We’re excited to introduce our newest team member and developer, Jake Rogers! Jake joins our team by way of Wilkinson, Indiana—population: 200— and Indiana University. He majored in computer science with a specialty in intelligent systems (a fancy name for artificial intelligence, he says). Here’s some more about Jake –
**Did you like growing up in a small town?
**I did! We weren’t even in the small town, though, but nearby. I am the most reclusive of the recluses so I liked walking outside to just corn fields. It’s so quiet, and dark at night, so you can see the stars.
**Do you have any community or passion projects?
**I’m very new to Indy, so nothing local right now. In college, I was heavily involved in Tau Beta Sigma, a co-ed national honorary band sorority that focuses on community service. I also help my family run a volunteer and fundraising organization called Generations of Generosity.
**What’s your musical background?
**I play the guitar, piano and saxophone. In high school, I started a band called Indecent Exposure and played rhythm guitar. We broke up after graduation. At IU, I joined the marching and jazz bands.
**What’s the last concert you went to?
**Blink 182 with A Day to Remember and All-American Rejects
**Name three things you couldn’t live without.
**My computer, the internet, and books.
**No constraints—what’s your dream job?
**Being a race car driver sounds cool. Or a woodworker with unlimited resources.
