Counterpart is investing in students enrolled in the Hamilton Southeastern School System through a collaborative partnership with Fishers-based Youth Mentoring Initiative (YMI). The yearlong partnership will kick off during the annual YMI fundraising breakfast this fall.
In making the partnership, Jason Bourg, Counterpart President, stated, “Partnering with YMI is a perfect fit for Counterpart. If it weren’t for the mentoring of the founders of Counterpart, I wouldn’t be a second-generation partner and owner of the firm.” “Mentors have been an important part of my life ever since I can remember. I’m humbled by the opportunity to mentor the next generation of leaders in our community,” he added.
YMI provides one-on-one mentoring for students by building and sustaining a mentoring community. Counterpart employees will volunteer as mentors during the upcoming school year, working with students to help develop personal relationships, values, and life skills.
