Youth Mentoring Initiative (YMI) today announced that Counterpart would be the title sponsor of their 4th annual Fall Breakfast Fundraiser held in Fishers, Ind.

This will mark Counterpart’s second year as title sponsor for YMI’s Fall Breakfast, with a record $30,000 raised at the 2014 event. YMI’s main fundraising event raises both financial support and awareness. Community, education, business, and civic leaders in attendance also hear about the program’s impact directly from YMI mentors and mentees.  To meet the 2015‐2016 program growth plans and to expand into the Intermediate grades, the organization is looking to raise $50,000 at this year’s event.

Darren Heil, Founder and Director of Community Engagement, said, “We have a vision of growing a mentoring community in Fishers and a goal to mentor 600 students each year by 2020. Counterpart helps make this possible! Their continued support enables YMI to positively impact the Fishers community.”

“We at Counterpart are excited to continue our partnership with Youth Mentoring Initiative, especially after the success of last year’s breakfast,” said Drew Linn, Counterpart’s Chief Strategy Officer. “YMI has a rich history of encouraging and impacting local youth in our community. They have an incredible organization that we plan to continue supporting. We are truly proud to help provide the resources they need to succeed.”

YMI is a non‐profit organization that has vetted, equipped, and matched adult mentors to students in local schools since 2008. Through one‐on‐one, weekly, school‐based session,s these YMI mentors encourage students to reach their fullest potential.

The fundraiser will be held at the Wellington Conference Center on September 15 at 7 a.m. This is a free event. All are welcome.  For more information on YMI and this event, visit www.ymionline.org.
