In a natural progression of our current mentoring initiatives, we are excited to be joined by two interns from EmployIndy! Karen Galloway and Phillip Midkiff will be joining us for the next eight weeks as they are looking for new experience in the software industry.
Karen Galloway has a seasoned background in web design, development, and consulting, with a keen ability to simplify and troubleshoot a problem at hand. Working as a developer before becoming a full-time mom, Karen will be returning to tech with a focus on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
“I am interested in working for Counterpart because it is a tremendous opportunity to work alongside and learn from knowledgeable professionals who have made their mark in the tech sector,” Karen said. “I am looking forward to making a meaningful contribution while I am here.”
Karen is involved in her community and is a member of Girl Develop It Indy. She also loves to garden, dance, try new foods, and research her family’s genealogy.
Phillip Midkiff has a diverse background in technology and will be joining our testing team and hone his QA skills, pursuing a career as a software tester. Phil is a logical thinker and sees a project from every angle, giving him the ability to thoroughly test all aspects of the software.
“Counterpart is a very welcoming environment; everyone is friendly and helpful,” Phil said. “This company gives team members the tools to succeed”.
Phil lives in Noblesville with his wife and two daughters. When he isn’t keeping up with his family, Phil likes catching up on his favorite movies, TV shows, and learning guitar.
