I’m excited to introduce another new Counterpart team member and a longtime colleague of mine! Project Manager Elizabeth Heil joins our team most recently by way of the start-up/scale-up life at Springbuk, on top of years spent running operations and financials at local creative and marketing agencies. She brings to Counterpart a real talent for asking the right questions and holding her teams accountable. Welcome, Elizabeth!

What do you consider yourself an expert in?

Finding and modifying yummy recipes that are allergy-friendly! My daughter has several food allergies (gluten, dairy, nuts), so I have had to learn how to cook food that still tastes really good and that the rest of our family will enjoy, but without the things she can’t have.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A backup dancer for Paula Abdul. 🙂

How do you get involved in your community?

My husband and I lead the youth group at our church. We have worked with junior high and high school kids together for more than 15 years through different community organizations and through our church. I also volunteer on the Teacher Appreciation Committee at both my girls’ schools.

What inspires you?

Nature; my husband and kids; authentic, meaningful conversations; selfless acts of kindness and generosity.

What are you known for?

Well, what I hope I’m known for is being authentic and kind, loving my neighbors (ALL types of “neighbors”), living with empathy and integrity, and slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life. I know these are aspirational, but I deeply desire to be intentional and make these qualities part of my everyday life.

Beverage of choice?

Water with lemon, and a really good sangria.

Favorite gadget?

Does a Crock-pot count as a gadget? 🙂 I love my Crock-pot!
