Welcome to Connector’s Chronicles, our roundup of the events, conversations, and community moments that keep us inspired and connected. Whether we are sponsoring local innovation, celebrating impact, or supporting meaningful causes, this series highlights where we’ve been and why it matters. Through corporate community engagement and authentic partnership, we’re finding new ways to build better together—one connection at a time.
The IBJ Breakfast Series has become a favorite way to dig deeper into real estate and development trends. This session featured a fireside chat with Tadd Miller (Milhaus) and Nathan Feldman, plus a panel on mixed-use development with leaders from New City Development, Henke Development Group, Old Town Companies, JLL, Mayor Scott Willis of Westfield.
From early lessons in building to shifting community priorities, the conversation offered practice insights and forward-looking perspectives. Sharing the table with great company and connecting with familiar faces is always a bonus.
The Nonprofit Summit, hosted by Old National Bank, centered on moving missions forward through ideas, dialogue, and community. Conversations challenged attendees to think bigger and deeper: “We have to look at the big picture, and all the ways we service (Chris Kauffman, IHSAA Foundation). “Diversity is not just about race, it’s about so many other aspects of life” (Brooke Dunn, Faegre Drinker). And, “When the population is more than 50% women and girls, and the system isn’t working for us, it’s not working. Period” (Tamara Winfrey Harris).
It was a gathering of people envisioning a brighter tomorrow and taking steps together to build it.
There’s nothing quite like standing on the 50-yard line at Lucas Oil Stadium, surrounded by a community united for a cause that matters. The 2nd annual Huddle Against Hunger, presented by the Indianapolis Colts, combined the excitement of gameday with the power of giving back, all to ensure Hoosiers facing hunger have access to fresh, nutritious food.
With food costs climbing to $8.2 million in 2025, Gleaners‘ ability to stretch every dollar ninefold makes each contribution go further. We were proud to be a bronze sponsor of an evening that reminded us hunger is a challenge we can tackle together and that collective generosity truly makes an impact.
AgriNovus CEO Christy Wright moderated a panel featuring Kevin Still (Keystone Cooperative), Karen Plaunt (Purdue University), Brian Barker (AgReliant Genetics), and Beth Archer (AgrIInstitute) on the future of agriculture and leadership. From the importance of listening first, “When you’re going to lead, you need to start with how to listen,” shared Plaunt, to the value of smart risk-taking, the discussion emphasized preparing the industry for its next generation.
An evening with the VentureVets team highlighted the impact of the Patriot Fund and the importance of raising awareness around the lifetime experiences of being a veteran. Conversations centered on the unique challenges veterans face beyond active duty and the work of HVAF, an organization providing housing, employment, and vital resources for veterans in our community. The evening was a powerful reminder of the responsibility to honor, uplift, and invest in those who have served and to continue building community alongside them.
Hosted by the Venture Club of Indiana at Marian University’s Allison Mansion, this event spotlighted Indiana’s rising entrepreneurs. Don Wettrick, founder of the STARTedUP Foundation, shared insight on how leaders can better support new founders, while student and recent graduate innovators from Butler, Rose-Hulman, and IU Indianapolis pitched bold ideas. The evening was a celebration of the next wave of Indiana innovators and the community of investors, educators, and leaders helping them grow.
