National Puzzle Day is all about recognizing how individual pieces come together to create something bigger. And this year, it felt like the perfect backdrop for one of our favorite traditions: the Donut Run.
Early in the morning on January 29th, with temperatures in the single digits and fresh snow covering the ground, our donut runners bundled up to hit the road to deliver Long’s Bakery donuts to partners and friends across the community: cold hands, warm boxes, and a whole lot of gratitude. Just like a good puzzle, a community doesn’t come together by accident.
We spend a lot of time thinking about how things connect (ideas, people, systems, and goals). National Puzzle Day offered a simple, but meaningful reminder: progress happens when the right pieces come together, each bringing its own strengths and perspectives to the table.
Our partners play a huge role in that bigger picture. You’re solving problems, showing up for others, and helping your communities thrive every day. The Donut Run is our small way of saying thank you for being one of those essential pieces.
For this Donut Run, we wanted to invite people into the spirit of National Puzzle Day in a more intentional way. Each donut box included a QR code that led to a simple but powerful prompt: If money, time, or resources weren’t a factor, what would you build?
In honor of National Puzzle Day, we’re exploring the puzzles we’ve only dreamed of solving. The ones that don’t always make it into planning meetings or project scopes. The big, imaginative ideas that often get set aside, not because they aren’t worth pursuing, but because there isn’t always space to explore them.
We love puzzles. We love piecing together ideas. And we especially love hearing the kinds of thoughts people don’t always get a chance to share.
As a small thank-you for dreaming with us, we randomly selected one submission to receive a $100 donation to the charity of their choice. A simple way to turn imagination into impact and keep the momentum moving forward.
If you’re curious about how we collaborate, dream big, and show up for our community beyond the screen, we’d love to connect. Let’s start a conversation about how we might fit together.
